Balancing (Oily/Acne) Skin Facial Toner 2oz

I love the Golden Poppy Apothecary and rely on several of their products in my day to day routine. I wanted to try this cleanser since it's hard for me to find one that works with my oily, sometimes dry and sensitive combination skin. The ingredients are beautiful, (of course!) but the blend did not work for me. Because the base is made of oil, the cleanser would not fully rinse off of my skin and felt like there was a layer of the base oil left on my face. So, I called the shop to ask for some thoughts or advice because I did not want to waste the product or my money, and did not expecting to get much. However, the herbalist that I spoke with was very gracious with her time, answered my questions and also made several suggestions to try. The suggestions that has worked for me is to do 2 washes-- So, I start with the Balancing cleanser and then follow with another wash. I've been using a gentle liquid castille soap. With the double wash routine, it leaves my skin a little drier than I'd prefer, but my face does feel clean without an oily residue. Since the double wash is a little harsh for my skin, I do it once a day at night so that my skin can also rest through the night. I think this cleanser would be much better suited for folks with dry skin who need an oil boost. Wish I had realized this before making my purchase, but now I know and am grateful for the wonderful herbalists at this shop <3
