"My intention when writing this book was to create the book I needed as a baby anarchist getting into plant medicine at 22. Herbal books still really lack any acknowledgment of intersecting oppression and how these forces impact our ability to access healthcare, land, herbal traditions, clean water, food, safe housing, etc.
I wanted to change that, while also writing a book that was super beginner-friendly and approachable, that felt like a bridge for folks already interested in wellness, health, gardening, activism etc and was full of practical information and rooted in community care.
