Risa Hunter, Herbalist & Yoga Instructor

Risa takes time to discover each movement and how our breath guides our body, allowing us to deepen our understanding of how they work together to create a whole.

Risa's spark for healing body and mind was ignited through dance and movement. In 2012, her interest in working therapeutically with the body guided her to become certified in the 200-hour level in Viniyoga. Yearning for expanded knowledge led Risa to become a part of the first graduating class of Equinox Center of Herbal Studies.

Risa is passionate about life, receiving the gifts and lessons it brings with open arms. She weaves a viniyoga practice, a functional and adaptable style for every skill level, with her love for slow flows to create a gentle safe, environment to work on self.  She strives to continue her education through workshops, intensives and someday hopes to complete her 500 hr Yoga Teacher Training

As her education continues to grow and expand, Risa hopes to work one-on-one with clients in Viniyoga.

With her herbal knowledge and ability to adapt a practice for each person's needs, she hopes to support a deeper connection to body and plant medicine for each individual's healing path.

Risa currently offers private yoga sessions at Golden Poppy and also teaches a regular Slow Flow yoga at Be Here Now in Fort Collins.
